My original 2024 goals from January:
pass G road test
graduate from CPA
find a job
But before March even happens, I already think I need to focus on G and reduce my effort for CPA. Even if you have a beautiful resume with co-op experiences, you are still likely to be fighting with thousands of tech workers/laid off people/new graduates for one single junior position.
Once I pass G, I already have far more job options than learn 10 technologies. If tech is good enough, my roomies (half of them in tech) would have got interviews and another job offer. They have not.
Even my mum just said "but you don't have parking space". We are serious on the point of having parking space and actually owning a car. We have expensive insurance here, but I'll still move forward when the opportunity is ripe.
How? Once I pass, I have a better reason to simply rent somewhere and rent a car, to start with, until I have an actual car. It's only logical to continue to rent this house, but the sooner I have a car, the better.
That's how I say so much about driving as a fact in North America. I've talked my mum into this stuff.
There is another job fair next week and of cos I am going for it. As in the previous passage, I think the current PRJ+SYD+MAP 3 courses are already taking my time for job search. Whatever that other part-time or full-time CPA people, I only know my time is running out. It's not a fun idea to remain idle in 2024.
